Growing up with uncontrollable acne is any kids’ nightmare and unfortunately, I was one of those kids living that nightmare. With much embarrassment I started going through puberty at the age of 8 which is not common for most young girls. My body was changing way before I was ready to deal with it and not only did I start not liking what I saw in the mirror, the kids at school reminded me every day that they did not like what they saw either. Family and church members tried buying me skin products because you could tell they felt sorry for me. I tried Proactive which ended up just drying my skin out and seemed to make it worse not better. Neutrogena, Clean & Clear, medication, doctor visits, all the above were my many attempts to clear my skin. As I was trying different things my self-esteem got lower and lower. Confidence was out of the question, but I tried my best to remain as happy as I could be.
If you are reading this you are either going through this currently, you have been there before, or you know someone going through it. Needless to say, it is not fun dealing with something that seems to be unfixable. Luckily, I have always had a very optimistic mind set and I knew that one day I was going to not only help myself but many others as well.
Vis Jolie, which means Live Pretty in French, means more to me than just the superficial words "live pretty". I have embraced it as a motto, and I challenge everyone to live their "pretty," whatever that is to them. Whether it is pretty skin that you desire, a pretty car, a pretty house, pretty shoes, pretty hair, etc. I want you to live that and believe it.
My main goal in starting a skin care company is to help both women and men,
Live Pretty, Visually.
